There
are many possible ways to
partner with The Umbrella Project
When we teach
children that they can be helpful when overwhelming events make
them feel helpless, we raise a child's spirit and change their life.
Realizing the importance of this knowledge, since 1990, school art
classes, special clubs, camps, community service organizations,
all have benefited by participating in THE UMBRELLA PROJECT.

- Individuals,
PTO's, Corporations, local businesses -- all can sponsor a community
project. A project that reaches 200 kids with 48 umbrellas and
264 non-toxic fabric markers (a dozen each of 22 colors) costs
$2,000. This includes shipping, detailed instructions, and a 25
minute entertaining professional-quality video explaining the
history and global purpose of our project.
- The sponsor
then "owns" the project and can exhibit, auction, or
give away the hand-painted umbrellas to benefit other children.
Since most children's umbrellas raise $50+ for each hand-painted
creation, sponsors can realize their original costs and still
have funds to donate.
- We require
photos of your project and the name of the child-oriented non-profit
that will benefit from donations and/or gifts of umbrellas. This
is for our records and newsletter.
UMBRELLA
PROJECT SPONSORSHIP
- Whenever
THE UMBRELLA PROJECT receives sponsorship from Corporations,
Foundations or individual donors, we support Free
Art Programs in schools, museums, camps, and International
groups.
